Zambia has taken a strategic step to strengthen its trade and logistics capabilities through a targeted investment in Tanzania’s transport and logistics sector, focused on container handling operations at the Port of Dar es Salaam. The investment is being implemented through Zambia Cargo and Logistics Limited (ZCL), a government-owned entity responsible for managing Zambia’s cargo across key international routes. As part of this initiative, ZCL is expanding its role in containerised cargo handling, storage, and movement in Dar es Salaam, strengthening Zambia’s control and efficiency across its supply chain.
